CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The job purpose is to ensure that Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) remains secure at all the times and support is provided to CFS staff in CFS maintenance.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Guard Child Friendly Space premises, assets, supplies, equipment’s, vehicles etc.
- Ensure cleanliness of the Child Friendly Space.
- Provide support to CFS team in carrying out project activities.
- Loading and unloading of supplies coming and going from CFS.
- Serve tea/ coffee/ water etc. to the team and visitors.
- Restock the Child Friendly Spaces with the required accessories, stationary, etc.
- Maintain daily register for visitors and escort accordingly.
- To conduct regular checks and reports damage to CFS equipment
- Perform any other project related tasks assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably matriculation certificate.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Basic literacy – reading and writing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as security personnel / helper.
- Willingness to assume a range of anticipated tasks.
- Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and respect towards colleagues, staff and the general Public.
- Previous security related training certificates.
- Excellent communication skills – Ability to keenly listen, interpret and analyse the information to action.
