Background:

The national and international experiences, in the changed scenario, require that the policy of devolution may be adopted. Most of the responsibilities may be devolved onto the district judiciary in an independent and accountable manner. This requires the establishment of a Secretariat for the District Judiciary with the objectives; (a) improved analytical approach towards ascertainment of future needs and requirements; (b) improved process for securing resource allocation for the realization of the future projection allocation; (c) improved good governance at each step through transparency, accountability, fairness, and merit; (d) improved liaison with justice sector actors for efficiency and effectiveness; (e) improved service delivery to the citizens and (f) improved ICT-based solutions for data sharing and public grievance redress systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of files and records; able to maintain a record of files with proper indexing for easy retrieval of files whenever required
  • Collecting data from various departments and organizing data and reports;
  • Draft minutes of the meeting, report writing, and making presentation slides;
  • Provide photocopying, scanning, document binding, and faxing services as requested;
  • Maintain a schedule of planned meetings and attend to routine correspondence;
  • Develop and maintain both manual and electronic filing system of the concerned Unit;
  • Performs additional duties/ tasks as and when assigned

 

Required Education

  • Must be a bachelor’s degree holder preferably computer literate.
  • Good command of MS Office; specifically, of Excel.

 

Required Experience:

  • Having at least 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the public sector and donor-funded projects is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in administrative work is required.

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; have the ability to communicate fluently in English, Urdu, and Pashto
  • Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
  • Professional and courteous
  • Good report/minutes/memo writing skills
  • Able to carry out his/her work in an organized manner
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and to deliver work in a timely manner
