Background

Ensuring the success of its reform initiatives, the Planning & Development Department has adopted a robust implementation mechanism and a holistic, comprehensive and systematic institutional structure and process to develop and implement the reform initiatives with the support of international development partners. P&DD has established a dedicated unit i.e. Foreign Aid Section to deal with the coordination with donor agencies, foreign technical assistance and aid effectiveness.

Responsibilities

 

  • Liaise with Line Departments and Federal Government regarding Foreign Aid matters.
  • Assist in organizing meetings with donor agencies & Federal Government.
  • Contact Line Departments for submission of monthly and quarterly reports of foreign aided projects and preparing working papers for review meetings.
  • Assist in maintaining Inventory of Foreign Aided Projects. 
  • Assist in coordinating the activities of the Section.
  • Follow up on proposals for foreign aided projects for provincial and Federal approving forum (PDWP, CDWP and ECNEC)
  • Assist Assistant Chiefs in routine matters.
  • Knowledge of Management Information system. Knowledge of IT and IT software (word-processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail)
  • Taking minutes of the meetings, official correspondences, maintain office filing system
  • Any other responsibility assigned by chief or assistant chief of the section

 

Qualifications:

16 years of Education in Management sciences, Statistics/Economics, Computer sciences or relevant discipline.

Experience and Skills:

At least 3-year relevant experience in Government sector developmental while experience with Donor funded projects will be an added advantage.

The candidate must be computer literate and should be able to carry out the office work by using computer.
