Pathfinder International Overview

Pathfinder International with the financial support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) is working to increase post-pregnancy family planning (PPFP) through expanding public and private sector access with a focus on Young Women age 15 -24 in Sindh and Punjab Provinces of Pakistan. The Naya Qadam project aims to increase post-pregnancy family planning which includes postpartum and post-abortion family planning, counseling, and referral. This will be done through the strengthening of health systems and capacity building of in-Service and pre-Service providers and community health workers to improve the quality of services. Institutionalization and health system strengthening will eventually result into continuity and sustainability in absence of any outside support.

POSITION PURPOSE:

To smoothen of IT operation with DAFPAK during the phase III of hiring & Preparation for Endpoint Manager Migration.

POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fields incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail and documents or verifies all pertinent end user identification information and nature of problem or issue.
• Types correspondence, reports, and other materials. Answers routine correspondence
• Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, installing hardware implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
• Resolves network/hardware problems and calls service technicians when problems can’t be resolved.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues such as printer or copier paper jams and toner replacement. Schedules equipment maintenance when necessary. Repairs and troubleshoots hardware issues as needed.
• Orders, receives, stores, and maintains supplies. Audits and maintains asset list and tag new assets as they are received
• Performs preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Be enrolled in a college degree program requiring an internship or other related supervised work experience
• Computer Hardware: Foundational knowledge of computer hardware.
• PC Applications: Foundational knowledge of Active Directory, Windows OS, Mobile Device and ActiveSync, PC Imaging, Office 365.
• Telecommunications and Audio-Visual Equipment: Foundational knowledge of telephone systems and A/V equipment
• Proven ability to research a wide range of computing issues
• Ability to write clearly and succinctly in English
• Identify with the vision and mission of Pathfinder

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Off-hours, On-call availability
• Uses cellular and desk phone; laptop or desktop computer
• All work must be performed in the assigned Pathfinder office

• Interest in reproductive health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and international family planning
• Ability to work and correspond with people from different cultures and countries; ability to adapt to different writing styles.
