Job Description:

Purpose of the Post:

To maximize the outreach of Hashoo Hunar Skills development programme and interventions. The incumbent will conceptualize, plan and implement the organization’s internal and external communications. Communication are an integral part of today's busy world; effective communication is paramount in getting our messages across to the public. The Communications consultant also creates original written and visual content for a wide variety of audiences (internal/external), and publishing platforms (news releases, Internet/Intranet, video, social media, digital signage, email, presentations, reports, etc.), along with assisting in audio-visual (A/V) equipment/systems installation, operation and troubleshooting.

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead communications activities of Hashoo Hunar by developing: News content, Annual Report, Newsletters, E-newsletters, IEC material, Case Studies, Videos, Photography and digital content for website and social media.
  • Ensure Visibility and Branding Organization through Print and Electronic media at Local, National and Regional level through National and International mediums, Newspapers and Wire Services.
  • Provide overall managerial support and guideline to programme departments over communication, visibility and outreach enhancement of organization. Creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the organizational objectives.
  • Promote greater public awareness of and understanding for organization by consistent and meaningful provision of media coverage for the organization’s work and concerns and maintain contacts with key national journalists covering skills development work.
  • Develop and implement communications strategy considering the Skills Development work of organization.
  • Support communications activities, including writing and editing print materials, creating graphics, and photography. Use strong writing, editing, layout and design skills to engage, inform and educate a variety of audiences through displays, handouts, information kits, news releases, talking points, multimedia presentations, social media, digital signage and the web.
  • Assist in the development and management website by creating/updating content and helping and educating staff in various departments with website projects.
  • Monitor and create content for social media channels.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all related stakeholders including internal and external modes.
