MBBS (recognized by PMDC) and/or master’s degree in public health or Social Sciences from a recognized university

Relevant Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of progressively verifiable experience in public health. Candidates with experience or working with International Organizations and/or Government of Pakistan in EPI/PEI will be given preference.

Job Description:

  • Contribute to building a strong joint EPI/PEI team, with a focus on the analysis and use of data from both programs to strengthen the routine immunization program with a focus on high-risk polio districts,
  • Conduct data analysis and support development of implementation recommendations and reports for decision making in RI strengthening 
  • Provide technical expertise to support EPI in strengthening data quality, analysis and use for maximizing impact of RI and new vaccine introduction, including:
    • methods to reach under-served populations, starting with zero dose children and non-FIC 
    • Planning and implementation of concrete interventions including in logistics, cold chain, training, capacity building,  
    • monitoring and supervision
  • Ensure coordination and implementation of EPI programs such as Gavi HSS program, and World Bank NISP program 
  • Build linkages with RI Partners including WHO, UNICEF, JSI, AKU, and others
  • Support the use of data for development, implementation and tracking of the integrated (across EPI and partners):
    • RI workplan/microplan incorporating and reflecting the engagement of all partners 
    • RI monitoring and supportive supervision framework 
    • RI and vaccine introduction evaluations
    • Other reviews as needed
  • Develop and present briefing documents, presentations, and briefings to the federal/provincial EPI lead, and other partner leads as needed
  • Attend monthly meeting at the federal level to share updates, lessons learnt and planning for the following month
  • Build the capacity of relevant EPI staff in data interpretation, analysis and decision making
  • Any task assigned by the National/Provincial Programme Manager from time to time

Skills and Attributes

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and data software
  • Detail-oriented ability to work at fast pace and meet deadlines
  • Strong communications skills in English language as well as with the language of the respective province, with the ability to synthesize and articulate information
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to function and communicate professionally and effectively
