BACKGROUND / INTRODUCTION

Established on May, 28th 1998 and registered under Society Act 1860, by a group of youth sharing a common aim and commitment to address human misery with a special focus on vulnerable segment of society i.e. women, children, minorities, refugees, disable/abused and the poorest of the poor. Being a right based social reformatory organization, adopts a holistic approach towards right based development initiatives upholding the human rights. Organization uses rigorous approach by analyzing the various aspects that contribute to oppression, injustice, violence, vulnerability, discrimination, abuse and poverty in the society while treating the survivor (s) as “subjects of the change process”. 

These trainings are the major component of PPR Program with special focus of Poverty alleviation, being implemented in Bostan union council of District Pishin.

The purpose of this assignment is to build capacity through trainings on Pre& Post-harvest and marketing management. 

OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF CONSULTANCY AGREEMENT

To strong the system of existing technologies for agricultural raw materials production and to ensure the processes of soil cultivation, crop care, and harvesting as well as animal breeding are timely & efficient manner whereas, the three main objectives of applying postharvest technology to harvested fruits and vegetables are:

1-      To maintain quality (appearance, texture, flavor and nutritive value)  

2-      To protect food safety, and

3-      To reduce losses between harvest and consumption.

CONSULTANT TERM OF REFRENCES

 


A - Terms of Reference

  • Prepare a thorough training module/manual on the training topic as per contents provided by Organization, together with supporting Materials (Manuals, presentation, handouts etc) that will be used during & before the training
  • To develop the work plan for the delivery of training sessions.
  • Provision of handouts to training participants (if any)
  • Deliver the training program for selected candidates.
  • Prepare and deliver a training report on the completion of training highlighting the training delivery process, results achieved, participants’ satisfaction with the trainer and training methodology, main conclusions and recommendations.
  • Pre/post evaluation of each participant
  • Prepare and submit day-wise training schedule with contents.  Training must be for 2 days for each group (total 75 persons)

B – Approach of the Training

  • Participatory approach is required for this training as many parents are illiterate. Consultant has to design module in such a way that must have excess use of picture followed by group work and lecture.
  • Pre and post evaluation of the participants will be conducted.
  • Medium of instruction should be in Pashto language.

E – Profile of the Training Consultant

  • Master degree in social sciences, advanced degree is an asset with 10 year experience in development sector
  • At least 05 years training experience with CBOs or relevant community based networks
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Excellent Report writing & Presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, Urdu and Pashto
  • Applicants must be independent and free from any conflict of interest.

F – Payment Schedule

  • Payments will be made in 2 different intervals
  • 50% at the time of signing Contract.
  • 50% upon submission of all aforesaid reports/documents in Soft & hard.
  • All Government Tax is applicable.
