I. Organizational Context and Scope

Under the overall supervision of the Program Manager and direct supervision of the Grants Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the grant closeout is compliant in accordance with stated rules and regulations for all grants under the Program and for producing program-related reports.

II. Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

  1. Support focal point(s) regarding queries on required grant documentation and verification;
  2. Support the review of grant documentation and follow-up with the field when required;
  3. Finalize grants for closure;
  4. Prepare and submit donor reporting on a weekly and quarterly basis as well as any other ad hoc requests;
  5. Assist the Grants Manager in any other reporting, as required;
  6. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

III. Technical

 

  1. Knowledge of project cycles;
  2. Ability to innovate and create basic documents, tables, and charts using MS Office software;
  3. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  4. Ability to motivate others to adopt new ideas and bring about change;
  5. Natural ability to connect with other stakeholders and team members;
  6. Strong capacity to work with initiative and without close supervision;
  7. Thorough knowledge of donor rules and regulations;
  8. Working knowledge of a grants database

 

 

IV. Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
  2. Grants Consultant must have a minimum of five years’ experience working with community development project implementation. The Grants Consultant should have excellent writing skills and knowledge of FATA/KP. The Grants Consultant must have the capacity to creatively and analytically review grant documentation to ensure grant compliance and grant closures.
