Position: Program Officer - Information Reporting and Coordination

Reports To: Program Development Officer (PDO)

Base of Operations: Karachi, Pakistan

Period of Performance:  6 months (March – August 2019)



The Program Officer - Information Reporting and Coordination will manage project information, communication and coordination needs for Project’s portfolio of activities with universities in Karachi. This position will work with the relevant Program Development Officer, M&E officer, Grants Officer and Education Consultant.

Scope of Work

  • Work with Program Development Officer, M&E officer, Grants Officer and Education Consultant in Karachi along with university stakeholders and partners to collect information on program achievements and develop associated documents.
  • Develop and compile reports on program status and impact, including programmatic success stories and challenges.
  • Develop and compile detailed reports and minutes of university roundtable discussions, outlining progress, success stories and challenges for wider distribution amongst stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with relevant university stakeholders for meeting attendance and participation as assigned by the relevant PDO or Education Consultant.
  • Assist the relevant M&E officer in data collection through regular site visits and interaction with university stakeholder

Contribute towards project documentation, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring and Evaluation Plans
  • Site Visit Reports
  • Routine Monitoring Reports (RMRs)
  • Final Evaluation Reports (FERs)
  • Other pieces for various audiences, as assigned

 Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


  • University degree in relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications and reporting of development activities or in a related role is required.
  • Relevant experience working on USAID contract in a related role highly preferred. Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs required.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • English language fluency required. Punjabi/Sindhi language highly preferred.
