JOB PURPOSE: The incumbent would be responsible to carry out all training activities approved under Skills Development Program. He/ she will report to Project Coordinator and will maintain training database and relevant records as required by the project management team and donors.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Extend support and facilitation to Project Coordinator to achieve the project’s set outcomes/ deliverables.
  • Manage and conduct training orientation sessions and develop its materials including training schedule and work plan.
  • Implement the donor funded training as per set norms & standards.
  • Monitor and manage the training of selected trainees to produce the desired results and make efforts to develop a pool of professional and qualified trainers.
  • Keep and maintain the relevant records including attendance of trainees, trainers, visit reports, trainee’s documents, stipend records, results of internal and external exams and TPM reports.
  • Review, understand and ensure the proper implementation of the set policies, procedures, rules of business and standards for the smooth management of projects.
  • Conduct regular meeting with trainers and project staff to review progress, develop action plans and manage follow ups
  • Develop weekly and monthly work plans along with break-up of course content as per approved training schedule/scheme.
  • Coordinate and manage parents/ guardians, trainers and trainees’ day to day affairs at training center and resolve any issues if raised.
  • Develop questionnaires/ formats for regular data collection aimed at efficient monitoring and effective implementation of projects in coordination with project coordinator.
  • Maintain/ update office files & necessary resource material and documentation as per HF established standard procedures.
  • Ensure timely reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual – both qualitative & quantitative & need based).
  • Facilitate M&E and Third-Party Monitoring missions and ensure the provision of relevant records.
  • Ensure the timely compliance of observation and take remedial measures to improve the quality of services.
  • Ensure timely registration of trainees with relevant examination/ certification agency.
  • Complete the trainees’ record pertaining to their registration and certification with certification agencies.
  • Develop and share success stories and case studies to project coordinator for review and further dissemination.
  • Maintain close coordination with placement cell to find out placement opportunities for the trainees.
  • Maintain proper data bank of all beneficiaries including hard and soft.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Professional Experience and Competencies:

  • Masters’ Degree in Management/ Social Sciences
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in NGOs or a reputed training institute.
  • Good communication skills, problem solving skills, community mobilization skills and sound IT skills are essential.
  • Good report writing skills
