Summary:

To supports and assist small grant manager for the implementation of grant’s program especially in field based activities includes progress verifications and close out, additionally assist in documentation and data management, as per require of grant cycle and procedures for implementation. 

Specific Job Functions:

  1. Responsible for the field assignment as given by Small Grant Manger (SGM) to physical verify, monitor and close outs the grants, of benefitted schools.
  2. Monitor the performance of grantees (SMCs) through meetings and field visit (for progress and close out) to grantee schools in target districts of north Sindh.
  3. Responsible for the hard record keeping / documentation as per the set requirement of Small Grant Section. 
  4. Assist and support Small Grant Manager/Specialist (SGM) for programmatic and operational work, in Small grant section.  
  5. Assist and support to update and maintain the MIS of grant related to Small grant section, on day to day bases.
  6. Maintain the soft record of all approve grant documents i.e. applications, approving letter, agreements, field verifications reports and final financial and close out reports.  
  7. Support, guide and train the field team/staff on matters related to preparation and administration of small grants, and related compliance matters.
  8. Assist and support SGM to get reviewed the new grant applications, approved the grants and get released the payments to SMC as per small grant manual.  
  9. Establish and maintain communications with DMs, partner organizations, grantees (SMCs) for the smooth implementation of grants activities.
  10. Be update and provide guidance in the interpretation of award terms and conditions, and U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  11. Other duties as assigned by the senior management team / supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in USAID project/program.
  • Must having experience in social development field work (like monitoring of small grant, micro credit) and its relevant documentation
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • USAID or other international experience, knowledge of the USAID ADS system, the Federal Acquisition Regulations cost/price analysis, indirect rate development, contracts types, grants and cooperative agreements;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to coordinate and lead team members;
  • Excellent interpersonal skill, including patience, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team;
  • Ability to analyze and propose solutions to problems.
