ActionAid Pakistan (AAPk) is currently seeking qualified and experienced applicants to fill the above mentioned position based in its Country Office Islamabad. Details of the position are:
Core Responsibilities:
It is a middle level position that reports to the Country Director and is required to undertake internal auditing of AAPk offices and partners which access or use AAPk’s financial resources to implement projects and programme activities. The role would include review of the adequacy of internal controls and to coordinate the risk management process. You would require reporting on adequacy of internal controls as a means of optimizing the economic and efficient utilization of organization resources and provide suitable recommendations. The key responsibilities of the role include;
ensure compliance with international/local policies and procedures,
ensure proper management of financial records at country office, area offices, directly manage projects, DAs, partners and donor funded projects,
Ensure implementation of activities in line with AAPk or donor requirements,
audit of the operational areas (program) to ensure achievement of the organizational objectives,
Conduct the review of head office finance including balance sheet, income and expenditure account, management accounts, returns etc.
Create awareness, train and build capacity of partners, area offices and country office staff,
Proactively engage with SMT in the risk identification and management process and report progress against action plans.
Conduct a periodic follow-up on audit recommendations and provide the same to management for review.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidate with CA Finalist, ACCA, CIMA, MBA finance. Professional certification like CIA would be preferred,
Minimum 3 to 5 years of audit experience, preferably in development sector.
Good Understanding of Rights Based Approach;
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and SUN accounting System,
Good Reporting and interpersonal communication skills.
Exposure/ability to work in a diversified multicultural set-up.
Ability to undertake frequent travel to field.
