We are seeking qualified and highly motivated applicant for [Program Officer DRR & Social Mobilization]; the position will be based in [DI Khan with frequent travel to project sites/catchment area in KPK].
General objectives of the function:
[The Program Officer DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction) and Social Mobilization will work under the supervision of the Base Manage and responsible for the overall management, implementation and coordination of DRR and Social Mobilization activities and supervision of Social Mobilization staff as well integration and oversight of DRR and Social Mobilization activities in the mission;
He/she conduct regular monitoring of the SMs, coordinate with a local relevant partner, internal and external stakeholders, establishing and strengthening the existing network]
The position’s requirements are
Academic Qualifications: An Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in disaster risk management, social sciences, international relations and security, international solidarity, humanitarian affairs;
Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in DRR with the proven expertise of community mobilization in an INGO.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and supervise the team of social mobilizers in their planning and managing social mobilization and DRR activities.
- In conformity with the project strategy, review and adjust the DRR and Social Mobilization strategy, device realistic action plans;
- Establish robust coordination between social mobilization and medical teams for effective implementation of social mobilization and DRR activities;
-Lead the social mobilization and DRR activities, to make sure DRR & SM plans are implemented in true letter and spirit (conforming to Organizational guidelines and standards), through regular field presence for close follow up and monitoring.
-Responsible for setting-up systematic data collection, archiving and sharing of information on monthly or as per need for social mobilization and DRR activities.
-Provide regular feedback/reports on the progress of implementation of activities (monthly quantitative and qualitative reports) and make suggestions when needed.

- Excellent reporting and computer skills (MS Office and Internet)
