Project Description:

The purpose of the Pakistan Agriculture Technology Transfer Project (PATTA) is to identify, support and bring to scale private sector solutions to improve agricultural productivity in Pakistan, through a four-year activity. PATTA will partner with agricultural technologies companies to commercialize product and services that can increase the productivity and competitiveness of smallholder farmers and mobilize private sector investment in agricultural technology.

Assignment Scope and Tasks:

  • Assist in day to day program and operations activities under the direction of HR and Admin Officer
  • Provide program and Admin support for smooth functioning of field program activities  
  • Compile and update employees complete filing systems (both in soft and hard)
  • Assist in recruitment functions (job advertisement, initial screening of applications, scheduling interviews, obtaining necessary information from candidates etc.)
  • Assist HR and Admin Officer in assembling reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations etc.)
  • Assist in dealing with employee requests regarding human resources issues, policies, and regulations
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (timesheet management, leave record management etc.)
  • Provide program and administrative support to HR & Admin functions
  • Any other tasks assigned by the HR and Admin Manager

Key Deliverables:

  1. Ensure that day to day Program and Operation activities are functioning smoothly
  2. Ensure that all project related HR documentation is complete in all respect including, employees contracts, and employees insurance matters.
  3. Maintain long-term technical assistance (LTTA) and short-term technical assistance (STTA) contractual data to ensure timely modifications and extensions when applicable.
  4. Ensure timesheets are accurately completed and processed to assist in payroll preparation.
  5. Keep track of the monthly staff leaves, reconciling it with attendance records and update the leave record files.
  6. Assist HR and Admin in fulfilment of event management requirements as requisite by the field staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pakistani national;
  • At least 4-5 years relevant experience in HR in reputable company or project
  • Bachelor Degree in business management (HR) social sciences, or a related field;
  • Extensive corporate and understanding of USAID funded projects and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially in MS Excel and MS Word), Adobe applications;
  • Previous project work experience in Pakistan;
  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required
