Job Position:   Communication & Outreach Intern

Location:          Islamabad

Reports to:       Communication & Outreach Manager

Job Summary: This position is responsible to provide support to the Communication and Outreach department and assist with developing content, designing programme communications materials and managing printing and other material production with external vendors.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Main Duties and responsibilities

Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Support internal and external communication for Humqadam vision, mission and branding

Relationship Management 

  • Support in establishing and maintaining links and coordination with district teams for effective event and other activity planning.
  • Work with external vendors to arrange printing/material development, with support from the C&O Manager

Communication Material Development and Maintenance

  • Assist in content development and designing of communication material, following Humqadam branding guidelines.
  • Create and maintain information pack for stakeholders as needed
  • identify story lines and key messages

Event Management
  • Assist in developing media briefers, event briefers, and events Communication material

Information Management
  • Create and maintain an archive of news clippings, videos and photographs.
  • Organize communication products and data

Digital media management
  • Assist in developing and implementing digital media campaigns

IT Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Corel Draw, and/or Adobe suite

Activity Reporting
  • Compile reports as the need arises and/or as directed by the line manager

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 6 months’ experience in similar capacity and preferably with field-based know-how;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Should possesses some of these skills:  writing, designing, photography, digital media management, event management, and media management
  • Some knowledge of printing/production processes

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge Required:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in communication/social sciences.
  • Should be able to produce communication material.
  • Should possess excellent reporting, presentation, communication skills
  • Should be able to manage time and resources.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English and Urdu, proficiency in Punjabi and/or Pushto language an added asset.
