JOB PURPOSE:
The incumbent would be responsible to plan and carry out all activities related to job placement of newly trained trainees in the job market.
Major Responsibilities:
Conduction of Job Readiness Skills workshops
- Provide ongoing, comprehensive assistance to HF Hotel Management trainees especially focused on HF Project job seekers in obtaining employment/ placements
- Enhance Employability Skills of the hotel management trainees by imparting necessary skills to them through Employability Skills / Job Readiness Skills workshops and seminars which comprise on Job Readiness Skills, resume writing, interview preparation and creative Job-hunting skills etc.
- Conduct mock interviews to build the capacity of trainees to enable them to get appropriate jobs.
- Assessment of Hotel Management trainees regarding job readiness skills to work
- Help and guided trainees to prepare their CV/resume and maintain CV Bank of all registered project trainees in an accessible manner
- Maintaining the Data base and tracking of trainees on daily basis and update records into HF-MIS and on donor’s online portal.
Job placement and job support
- Searching of jobs through online and offline means and disseminate jobs notifications to all HF pass out trainees.
- Visit Hotels, Restaurants Hospitals and companies to identify jobs and schedule job interviews and ensure placement of HF trained trainees
- Share the success stories of placed trainees with the management.
- Update the employed trainees record into HF MIS and generate weekly and monthly reports
Meeting employers and finding the right match
- Visit Employers/ institutions to create linkages and need to identify the needs of employers
- Conduct manning surveys to explore job opportunities in different Hotels, Restaurants Hospitals and companies and place trainees there.
- To correspond to prospective employers and institutions for interview date and schedule of events.
- To arrange in-house interviews, job fairs and facilitate trainees as well as employers
- Maintenance of database of employers and commercial/industrial links in HF MIS
- To carry out JPC correspondence and telephone enquiries internally and externally.
- To communicate effectively with other team members and trainees
- Any other duties as assign by higher management, commensurate with the grade of the post.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Master’s degree in management/social sciences (especially HR and Marketing)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NGO with minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Good marketing and selling skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills, community mobilization skills
- Ability and desire to work independently in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks and a large volume of work in a timely and effective manner.
- The ability to work well with others, both internally and externally, from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Excellent skill in using Microsoft Office are essential
