TITLE:  Community Mobilization Officer

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Program Implementation

LOCATION: Shikarpur

CONTRACT LENGTH: 31 December, 2018

POSITIONS: ( 2)1male and 1 female

ROLE PURPOSE:

Community Mobilization officer will be responsible to design, plan and implement community mobilization activities in target area, He/She will ensure community participation at different forms.  He/She supervise and facilitate programme activities as per indicators and achieving objective of the project, For the smooth running of the project He/She will be responsible to identify gaps and timely share feedback with project head . He/She will facilitate field based activities, trainings, workshops and donors visits for assuring quality of program implementation.  H/She will   also be responsible to strengthen QIT network at facility level and facilitate Supportive supervision visits of LHWS by their supervisor.

SCOPE OF ROLE: Project interventions in public health facilities, improving access and utilization of the services by community, improving program quality through trainings and QA component.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Community participation

  • Implement community mobilization activities in field
  • Ensure community participation at different Implement, and monitor community based activities and timely identification of gaps.
  • Plan and conduct sensitization events in the catchment area of save the children supported Health facilities
  • Formation of youth and adolescent network at health facility level
  • Conduct Focus group discussion with specific age group
  • Keep close coordination with all departments for better integration within organization and with stake holders when required.
  • Ensure participation in facility base meeting.

Supervise & Motivate ORW

  • Facilitate team members in conducting the activities in uncovered area of Lady Health Workers.
  • Motivate staff and oversee performance, build staff capacity where required.
  • Hold progress analysis meeting with outreach staff and provide timely constructive feedback to         improve the quality of field activities, analysis gaps and follow-ups.

Program  Reporting;

  • Prepare weekly and monthly narrative reports of field activities.
  • Capture success stories and case studies
  • Developing and maintaining the data bank and photo gallery of the project activities

Capacity building session

  • Conduct on the job training of Outreach workers, community health volunteers and Lady Health workers activities.
  • Conduct training of Community outreach team  ,FWWs and male and female Mobilizer of PWD on adolescent health and family planning and post abortion care strengthen  referral and follow up mechanism  from field to health facility  through Lady outreach team

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Graduation/ masters in social sciences and relevant discipline

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Total 2-3 years’ experience with minimum 1 year experience in health projects  (Particular in  FPPAC)and community Mobilization

Desireable

  • Good computer knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to handle community level conflict and groups management
  • Experience to lead various capacity building initiatives with strong facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be fluent in local language
