REQUIREMENTS:
University degree or equivalent in Social Sciences preferably in Development studies.
Minimum 4 years humanarian field experience desirably in Livelihood related projects.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Very good analytical skills.
Good communication & negotiation skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Autonomous.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the hierarchy in running projects specifically related to supporting local public and private structures in different components of Mine Action Program including Socio-economic rehabilitation of the Persons with Disabilities.
Where applicable, assume charge for specific projects/files of the structure/department independently.
Maintain contacts with relevant authorities and other external interlocutors at various level independently.
Contributes to building the capacity of the national authorities and National Societies.
Contributes to assessing and analyzing the security, socio-economic, cultural and political environment as relevant to the ICRC, and shares information on these subjects with colleagues.
Contributes to written reporting on Weapon Contamination (WeC) activities.
Contributes to budget and PFR follow up.
Reports events and changes within region that could have an impact on the ICRC’s activities, thereby providing sound elements that help the delegation to set objectives and priorities.
Stands in for the Program Responsible and represent the WeC program in internal and external meetings.
