REQUIREMENTS:

  

  • University degree or equivalent in Social Sciences preferably in Development studies.

  • Minimum 4 years humanarian field experience desirably in Livelihood related projects.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Very good analytical skills.

  • Good communication & negotiation skills.

  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Autonomous.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assists the hierarchy in running projects specifically related to supporting local public and private structures in different components of Mine Action Program including Socio-economic rehabilitation of the Persons with Disabilities.

  • Where applicable, assume charge for specific projects/files of the structure/department independently.

  • Maintain contacts with relevant authorities and other external interlocutors at various level independently.

  • Contributes to building the capacity of the national authorities and National Societies.

  • Contributes to assessing and analyzing the security, socio-economic, cultural and political environment as relevant to the ICRC, and shares information on these subjects with colleagues.

  • Contributes to written reporting on Weapon Contamination (WeC) activities.

  • Contributes to budget and PFR follow up.

  •  Reports events and changes within region that could have an impact on the ICRC’s activities, thereby providing sound elements that help the delegation to set objectives and priorities.

  • Stands in for the Program Responsible and represent the WeC program in internal and external meetings.
