Job Description:

Safety assistants and members of the crew will report to the HSE Advisor through the line management system on all HSE issues. The HSE Advisor will report directly to the Party Chief/HSE Country manager on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

1. Develop a safety program that provides for the safety and welfare of all crew personnel, organize and train all department members on proper safety procedures and risk analysis.

2. Ensure that personnel in the operation are aware of the crew safety structure and that all persons under his operational control are conversant with the practices and procedures for their job and that these practices are being implemented on a day to day basis.

3. Ensure the safety and welfare of all camp personnel and other persons, whom may from time to time visit or work in the area and organize and conduct safety induction for all new members.

4. Identify the need for and arrange safety training for all categories of staff in liaison with line supervisors so that all personnel understand al relevant emergency procedures and that all equipment is in place and operating to execute those procedures.

5. Organize regular safety drills, briefs, pep talks, training, arrange the monthly crew committee meeting chaired by the PC/PM and document, and circulate the minutes.

6. Ensure personnel are aware that the environment should be kept clean and tidy and in the event of an accident, an immediate and diligent investigation will be conducted, and a fully documented hazard identification and safety critical analysis completed to prevent any future reoccurrence.

7. The HSE Advisor will organize the display and distribution of safety hints and slogans and monitor and advise on compliance with safety regulations and procedures to the PC/PM.

8. The HSE Advisor will produce all reports and safety correspondence for the crew and provide feedback on all given information to the crew and client.

9. The HSE Advisor will report all Unsafe Acts/Conditions and Near Miss and ensure the implementation of the programmed safety pep talks, safety meetings and safety audits for all departments and take part in accident investigation according to the system in place.

Qualification: Master/Bachelor (Hons) with NEBOSH

Experience: 10 Years

Only those candidates shall be shortlisted who have relevant experience in 2D/3D Seismic Acquisition.
