Purpose Of Job:

The Executive- Instrument is responsible for effective development, implementation, designing, installing, managing and/or maintaining instrumentation and automation control system which is used to monitor and control plant operations and processes of Fauji Foods. He will lead instrument team for Asset care (Preventive and predictive maintenance) of Process and utilities Equipment in instrument scope; and ensure Building and Facility are maintained in standard. Executive instrument will have a team of diverse skills and manage control system, instrument workshop and workshop team and process troubleshooting activities. He will assist assistant manager in all the plant based projects. He will strive his best to achieve plant KPI’s – Reduction of breakdowns through MTTR / MTBF approach, achieve best in class equipment maintenance and achieve inventory reduction in spare parts stores. 

 

Key Responsibilty & Duties:

  1. Attempts all possible means of reducing equipment downtime and ensuring high plant availability.
  2. Prepare and plan preventive/predictive maintenance of all instruments and control systems installed.
  3. Responsible for maintaining instruments and machinery in optimal condition.
  4. Prioritize, plan and oversee projects and workload for the assigned unit.
  5. Ensures a safe working environment and protocol.
  6. Act as a Management & Technical Representative for Fauji Foods Ltd.
  7. Builds and sustains a committed, cohesive and dynamic team.
  8. Ensures maintenance tasks are completed on time and with quality
  9. Facilitate capacity building of internal resource to required level.
  10. Report to top management on periodic basis of the progress and effectiveness of management system development, implementation, monitoring, review and improvement.
  11. Identify the key improvement areas, mentor and coach the team member to remove those performances staler. Conduct / coordinate management system training.
  12. Conduct stewardship with the team for Improvement plans/objective and departmental performance.
  13. Discuss planned and unplanned jobs undertaken with line Manager.
  14. Works with line Manager for project planning and execution.
  15. Assists line manager in planning and budget preparation processes.
  16. Ensures adequate inventories of spares and consumables are maintained.
  17. Places requisitions for purchase of required spares and consumables.
  18. Ensures necessary tools are available and maintained in good condition to all Technicians.
  19. Close coordination with other departments and businesses for effective communication.

3rd Party Calibration, Tetra Pak and related regulatory authorities

Key Experience:

  1. Should have good knowledge of Insturmentation of flow, pressure, level and temperature, Variable frequency dirves and PLC based control system.
  2. Should have ability to study the electrical drawings, selection of instruments and control system, etc.
  3. Should have good knowledge of planning of Periodic Maintenance Calendar of all the Dairy Plant Equipments with Maintenance reports generation.
  4. 3-5 year’s relevant experience with sound knowledge in managing the I&C function and plant requirements.
  5. Must have worked in a high volume manufacturing process in a medium or heavy industry preferably FMCG.
  6. Should have to deal with 3rd party services as per plant requiremet.
Knowledge:
  1. Principles and practices of food manufacturing, including: food safety, quality, manufacturing concepts.
  2. Participate in modifications to existing systems and installation / commissioning of new assets.
  3. Provide methods, equipment recommendations and standard operating practices to optimize processes and meet product specifications.
  4. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
  5. Computer Skills including: Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
