Chemonics International Inc. anticipates an award of a contract, to implement and scale up the vaccines Logistics Management Information System (vLMIS) activities in the selected districts across Pakistan. The use of the vLMIS depends heavily on the level of understanding of individuals operating the system, on its various functionalities and their relevant computer skills. The main objective of the vLMIS scale up is to cost-effectively implement this technology in 116 districts in Pakistan and build provincial and district-level technical capacity to use, analyze, and report vaccine logistics data through the vLMIS application. Timely and accurate data entry and submission of a monthly report at the district level is critical to the functioning of the vLMIS. The data collected from the vLMIS can subsequently be used at each level of the supply chain to enhance informed decision making to meet vaccine demands.

In order to achieve the goals of this assignment, Chemonics International Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of HR Officer.

Note: Please note that this is a short-term project with an expected duration of two months, starting from the first week of December till the end of January, 2018. The maximum LOE (Level of Effort)/ working days for each position is expected to be 52 days.

Job Specifications

  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources function; experience of working with reputable organisations will be given preference
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human resources management, business administration, management or related field; Master’s degree and/or specific qualification in HRM would be a plus
  • Strong MS office knowledge
  • Interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels
  • Business awareness, organisational skills, and the ability to understand detailed information

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in receipt and review of applications, screening, short listing job applicants and schedule interviews for short listed candidates through panel formation approved by the Project Manager.
  • Draft employment agreements for new inductions and coordinate within the HR Team, Finance and Operations regarding placement, welcome package and orientation of new employees and briefing them about filed office policies.
  • Assist in establishing communication systems for producing human resources information for management purposes.
  • Ensure maintenance of records in both hard and soft form, including personnel files, leave records, time sheets etc.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff, supervisors, and council on human resource and work related issues.
  • Assist the HR Manager regarding revisions in employee contracts, coordinating changes with legal counsel, and ensure that employee contracts and records are properly maintained and updated on a timely basis.
