Program Description  

PERSI supports small scale activities in Punjab and Sindh by providing grants to undertake programming. The activities are designed to support organizations, including Governmental entities, local organizations and community groups, to implement peace building and community development activities.

Overview  

The Program Coordinator is a key position in the Lahore office, managing all program responsibilities, including a diverse portfolio of grant activities with key partners, representation with government, civil society, and donor agencies, and leading Activity Programming Teams. The position will report DCOP and undertake successful implementation of PERSI grants. The Program Coordinator will provide direct oversight to three PDOs, Field Advisors and Database Officer.

 

Scope of Work

 

  • Oversee portfolio of small grants and technical implementation of activities through activity cycles - from concept, design, implementation, through close out, in collaboration with activity partners and the program team.

  • Supervises Program teams in the region, maximizing efficiency and learning through the activity cycle.
  • Represent the program to Government, civil society, business community and our client.
  • Develop and maintain critical relationships with all stakeholders including local and provincial governments, civil society organizations, media groups, and community influencers.
  • Serve a leading role in strategic decision making with other managers and client.
  • Serve as Head of Office in absence of the Deputy Chief of Party.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

  • University Degree in relevant field, Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in related role required, including supervisory experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience of working with the Government at different levels
  • Relevant experience of working on a USAID Project in a related role highly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Thorough knowledge of English; working knowledge of languages spoken in the region will be an advantage.
