Introduction to DAI – AJPP Project:
DAI has been awarded the Accountable Justice in Pakistan Programme (AJPP). The four-year, £12 million, DFID-funded project will improve application of the rule of law by equipping Pakistani men, women, and children with the knowledge and capacity to hold key law enforcement and justice sector institutions to account. AJPP will enhance the rule of law by 1) increasing the accountability and oversight of law enforcement and justice institutions, and 2) increasing engagement by citizens in legal reforms and legal empowerment, leading to a better informed citizenry. Working in three target provinces, AJPP will prioritize the engagement of women, girls, minority communities, and the poor in justice sector accountability reforms.

Scope of the Work:
Under the management and supervision of the Team Leader, the position holder is responsible for providing strategic direction to AJPP programme activities across the three project provinces (KP, Sindh and Punjab); and for ensuring subsequent project outputs are met in a satisfactory and timely fashion.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Team Leader in ensuring effective programme implementation in accordance with AJPP objectives;
- Prepare consolidated monthly progress reports and updates of plans, activities and grantees; and share key issues with management for required actions;
- Lead Programme activities at the Federal level;
- Manage a team of three provincial Lead Managers across the three provinces and liaise on a regular basis;
- Provide strategic assistance toConsortium partners to ensure the quality of agreed deliverables;
- Coordinate with partners and grantees to ensure risk mitigation in the engagement with relevant stakeholder;
- Convene monthly meetings across the threeprovinces and attend the AJPP PSC meetings, this includes recording required documentation and minutes of the meetings;
- Coordinate with the Lead Technical Programme Manager/ DTL, Lead Evidence Manager and TL in facilitating field plans, collecting evidence and monitoring activities;
- Facilitate AJPP leadership in engaging and developing partnerships with key stakeholder including government, political parties and media;
- Represent AJPP at federal and provincial level at various forums of other donor funded programmes;
- Participate in AJPP management and Quarterly Review Meetings;
- Supervise Provincial Managers and M&E Field Officers.
