Job Title: Knowledge Management Advisor

Reports to:Lead Evidence Manager

Introduction to DAI – AJPP Project:

DAI has been awarded the Accountable Justice in Pakistan Programme (AJPP). The four-year, £12 million, DFID-funded project will improve application of the rule of law by equipping Pakistani men, women, and children with the knowledge and capacity to hold key law enforcement and justice sector institutions to account.

AJPP will enhance the rule of law by 1) increasing the accountability and oversight of law enforcement and justice institutions, and 2) increasing engagement by citizens in legal reforms and legal empowerment, leading to a better informed citizenry. Working in three target provinces, AJPP will prioritize the engagement of women, girls, minority communities, and the poor in justice sector accountability reforms.

 

Scope of the Work:

To manage all AJPP knowledge management resources including but not limited to: research products, reports, surveys, stories of change and keep accurate records on an integrated database/ IT platform.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of internal strategy and planning of production of knowledge products;
  • Develop basic research designs, conduct programme research and prepare research reports to enhance existing evidence of programme activities and lessons to be learnt;
  • Develop terms of references for programme research/survey by external consultants;
  • Work closely with the programme team to review and ensure quality of communication and               programme material;
  • Ensure effective dissemination of knowledge products through appropriate channels;
  • Review and provide technical input to AJPP-partners on content and quality of research and                                                                                                                                                  knowledge products;
  • Review and provide technical inputs for quality assurance;
  • Undertake analytical write-ups/ case studies on programme streams;
  • Undertake comparative research and provide required knowledge base to inform the strategic planning for programme, project and institutional development in Rule of Law sector.

 

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Previous experience working with donor funded programmes in the development sector;
  • Minimum five years’ experience of developing research and knowledge materials;
  • Ability to advocate and distribute knowledge products in a comprehensive manner;
  • Excellent knowledge of the development of knowledge products;
  • Good understanding of social media;
  • Familiar with setting-up and managing project resources;
  • IT savvy and understands how to set-up and manage IT resources/ archives.
