Overview

The Database Officer will update, maintain, and train staff to use the small grants activity database in Karachi/Lahore. This position will report to the Programs Coordinator.  

 

Scope of Work

 

Update grants database, ensure compliance with donor and DAI standard practices and regulations.

Responsible for entering information and maintaining the CRA Activitiy Database and the PakInfo Database.

Manage Implementation Tracker by working closely with Grants Manager, Program Coordinator and Activity Programming Teams.

Customize and localize grants database by collaborating with USAID on weekly basis.

Review and monitor activity database information for accuracy, consistency and completeness to ensure database integrity.

Synchronize master activity database between USAID and DAI office database on weekly basis.

Liaise with Finance on a weekly basis to reconcile grants disbursement in TAMIS and upload financial data in Database.

Provide assistance to the staff in grant database reporting and conduct routine data quality checks to ensure accuracy and up to date data.

Ensure proper mapping, GPS locations and neighborhood boundaries for program target areas by working with implementing partners.

Train staff on the use of grants database.

Coordinate with team members in planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modification to activity database in TAMIS.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.  Master’s Degree will be preferred
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in database management or in a related role required.
  • Support managing and maintaining small grants database systems highly preferred
  • IT troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Relevant experience working on donor-funded projects in a related role
  • English language fluency required.
