Overview

The Database Manager manages, updates, maintains, and trains staff to use the small grants activity web-based database. This position reports to Grants Implemetation Manager.

 

Scope of Work

 

Update grants Database, ensure compliance with donor and organisations standard practices and regulations.

Collaborate with the donor on customization and Localization of grants database.

Ensure oversight and regular maintenance of the CRA Activity Database and the PAkInfo Database, certifying consistency and completeness to ensure database integrity.

Synchronization master activity database between USAID and DAI Office database on a weekly basis.

Train staff on the use of the grants Activity Database.

Coordinate with team members in planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modification to activity database in TAMIS.

Provide full time support and training to grants staff on TAMIS.

Work with help desk to provide technical assistance to users and troubleshoot, resolve application and database related problems grants Database and TAMIS).

Regular coordination with both field Database Officer for Database related queries.

Generate Blue Dots and update Budgets for newly cleared grants.

Responsible to track disbursements against each activity and grants amendments and provide updates to SMT.

Participate weekly grants implementation meeting for all three offices and contribute for resolving grants/database related issues.

Any task assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is minimum requirement. Master’s Degree will be preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of database management experience
  • Support managing and maintaining small grants database systems highly preferred
  • IT troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Relevant experience working on donor-funded projects in a related role
  • English language fluency required
