Chief Geologist

Job Description:

• M.Sc-Geology or Equivalent with Minimum 12 Years’ relevant Experience.
• Good technical knowledge and experience in project(s) supervision of all geological activities including Mapping, Formation evaluation and other relevant tasks..
• Chief Geologist is responsible for the overall technical leadership of the geology discipline, supervision of Geological modeling, Petrophysical analysis and Formation evaluation, Play identification, evaluations, estimations, projections, forecasting.
• Participation in the field & prospect development plans and activities.
• Evaluation of new acreages/prospective areas and prepare recommendations to increase the exploration portfolio as business development plan.
• Able to work , supervise, assist multi-disciplinary teams (Geophysics, Reservoir, Engineering, IT etc.), to collaborate with others while maintaining a positive and productive work environment
• Budgeting & Financial implications for geological operations.
• Excellent user of internationally used Software, Petrel, Decision Space Geoscience and Geographix Suite and other relevant software’s.
• Supervise, assist in trainings and actively participate in knowledge transfer.

• Develop and implement appropriate systems, procedures and policies Participation in the field development plans and activities.

• Provide technical input and review reports and studies completed in operated/non-operated joint ventures.
• Preparation and implementation of work plans, procedures, SOP’s for lab work and testing, analysis techniques.
• Any other task needed by management. 

Qualification: MSc-Geology or Equivalent

Overall Experience: 12 Years
