Job Description:
Under the guidance of the National / provincial reference laboratory (PRL), will be responsible to assist in maintenance of equipment installed at TB culture and DST laboratories and to support installation , maintenance and servicing of GenXpert, microscopes and other equipments installed in TB laboratory network of respective province /regions . In this regard s/he will perform the following activities.
TB Culture and DST laboratories :
- Routine maintenance of all equipment installed in laboratories.
- Minor electrical and mechanical repair of laboratory equipments and appliances
- Maintenance of logs/record of all equipment servicing and repairs
- Validation and certification of BSC installed in TB laboratories.
- On job Training of laboratory staff on usage and maintenance of equipments
GeneXpert Network
- On -site calibration and swapping of modules
- Staff training on geneXpert equipment maintenance through onsite or formal training.
- Keep record and update on status f all equipment installed in respective province and to ensure error are timely reported by Xpert site staff and onwards transmission to Cepheid technical team
- Ensure that all equipment calibration is performed as per manufacturer recommendation and defective modules are timely swapped
- Work closely with IT staff for installation /implementation of on line reporting /monitoring tool in GeneXpert equipment
Microscopy Network.
- Assist /coordinate in servicing /repair of microscopes and other equipment
- Assist in market survey for spares and services
- Provide on job training during quarterly meeting on use and care of equipment
Duty Station:
04 for district Peshawar and once each for districts Abbottabad, Bannu, Battagram, D.I Khan, Dir Lower, Mardan, Swat, Kohat, Swabi, Malakand, Haripur, Nowshera, Charsadda, Karak, Chitral, Mansehra, Bunir, Lakki Marwat, Kohistan, Hangu
Criteria/ Required Qualification and Experience
F.Sc with Diploma in Medical Lab Technology registered with medical faculty of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Higher qualification will be preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience of working in clinical/microbiology laboratory, having knowledge of basic principles, practices and quality assurance procedures applicable to clinical lab. Experience in AFB smear microscopy and GenXpert testing in laboratory will be advantage. Knowledge and experience of IT will be preferred.
Terms & Conditions:
- Original documents are required to be produced at the time of interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test and interview for which no TA/DA will be admissible.
