General Scope of Work:

Internal Communication Officer works to ensure that all teams within the consortium in the LEAD Pakistan are kept informed and constantly updated of the developments, events, and progress. Implementation is carried out by sharing of relevant information through several channels, such as staff meetings, email bulletins, social media, regular newsletters/updates, reminders, and memos. To take lead responsibility for dissemination of planning and implementation of a range of events.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage all internal communications and correspondence.
  2. Help in preparing communication, dissemination, and branding strategies, specifically the components on internal communication and branding.
  3. To work with counterparts in the team to publish timely company information, such as memos and company directives.
  4. As part of Monthly Progress Report: create and disseminate a monthly schedule for submission, ensuring that all relevant KMC members are informed of their submissions for the month, and facilitating any cross-unit or cross-team information that is required
  5. Gather, analyse, get approval of Line Manager, and present results of communication efforts periodically.
  6. Stay on top of the communication plan as needed to evolve according to the changes as they incur.
  7. Suggest the ever evolving information before it should be presented to team members and according to the relevant forums within the group.
  8. Match the appropriate timing of release of relevant news/information to concerned forums through well coordination with company events and activities tailored for positive impact.
  9. Fulfil internal communications requirements for hosting 200 micro-events across various tehsils.
  10. Responsible to extract right information from different quarters for ideas with research and experience based on strong relationship.
  11. To help build a culture where two-way internal communication is seen as fundamental and integral to the success of the organization and its staff, and where communication is seen as the business of every staff member.
  12. To provide a communications plan for each event detailing target audience and plans for reaching them.
  13. Write and edit copy (ranging from news reports and features to interviews and letter text) for various publications and materials (both print and online), including the staff magazine, volunteer and supporter magazine, the annual review, and the staff e-newsletter.
  14. To implement, develop and project manage a range of internal communication activities and initiatives including manager briefings.
  15. To complete agreed programmes of work, meet challenging targets, deadlines and standards of performance as agreed with line manager.
  16. Constantly update and maintain Internal Calendar of Events

Professional & Qualification Requirements:

  1. Educated to Master’s Degree level or equivalent in communications from a well reputed Institute.
  2. Experience in the relevant field for at least 5 years.
  3. Proven experience in communications tools.
  4. A good grasp of design principles; experience of graphic manipulation (preferably Photoshop or Illustrator); web publication experience (preferably html or Content Management skills)
  5. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise and communicate with colleagues at all levels of Organization.
  6. Ability to work as part of a team, on own initiative.
  7. Strong all round communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English, including editorial skills.
  8. To help prepare policies and guidelines and ensure compliance to the standards.

The positions relate to a landmark project in Water in the Punjab Province.

All position required frequent travel between Islamabad & Lahore and Districts of Southern Punjab.
