General Scope of Work:

Data analyst is responsible to conduct full lifecycle analysis that include requirements, activities and design. Data analyst will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. He/she will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Interpret and analyse data using quantitative and qualitative tools and techniques and contribute to knowledge products that require inferences and findings from collected or acquired data. These include, but are not limited to, analytical papers at district level, research on best practices, and district summary reports.
  2. Work closely with Database Manager to develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  3. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  4. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  5. Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  6. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  7. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  8. To develop and maintain the data store by collecting, collating, analyzing and sharing data appropriately. To promote responsible use of data in the voluntary and community sector.
  9. To work with other LEAD Pakistan staff to develop and maintain the data for all purposes.
  10. To respond to requests for data from voluntary and community organisations and follow policy of confidentiality in sharing of database.
  11. To maintain an up to date interest in and knowledge of developments in open data.
  12. To liaise as appropriate with counterparts in the group to assist with data stories.
  13. To provide information and support to the Project Managers

Professional & Qualification Requirements:

  1. BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
  2. Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst for at least 5 years.
  3. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  4. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

Primary Deliverables:

  1. Analytical papers at district level
  2. Research on best practices
  3. District summary report

The positions relate to a landmark project in Water in the Punjab Province.

All position required frequent travel between Islamabad & Lahore and Districts of Southern Punjab.
