Overall Responsibility

The Project Manager will be responsible for overall management and implementation of the CMAM project strictly adhering with the protocols and guide lines of the donor organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of detailed project implementation work plan and implementation strategy.
  • Training need assessment of the staff and training arrangements according to the nutrition guidelines
  • Prepare weekly and monthly schedule/work plan for technical/ non-technical staff to better manage the Project documented activities.
  • Ensure timely and efficient monitoring and evaluation of project activities Identify opportunities for new initiatives based on the indigenous knowledge of the communities
  • Undertaking complex and repetitive calculations require for OTP/SFP reports
  • Ensure all reporting requirements and project documentation for donor/internal management
  • To establish coordination with the line departments and the UNICEF regarding the project proper implementation monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure proper utilization of the resources and to established record tracking system.
  • Ensure the monitoring and reporting system according to the requirement of the project from the union council to district level is well established and functional.
  • Establish a good coordination of program with Human resource management, finance and logistics sections.
  • Ensure project reporting in accordance with the requirement of the organization and the donor agency.
  • Ensure Regular and active participation in nutrition and health cluster meetings/liaison
  • Ensure proper coordination with PDMA/FDMA, and other mandatory line departments and the reports submission in accordance to their requirements
  • In Addition any duty assign by the senior management.
  • To assist Senior management in post evaluation studies, identification of Prime needs, Exploring cross cutting themed potential areas for program development
  • To assistant and support Program Seniors for Monitoring, internal Controls, quantity and quality assurance etc.
  • To plan, manage and control efficient utilization of allocated resources.
  • Keep team member in harmonious and productive state applying team building traits.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

  • Basic understanding and knowledge of CMAM (Community Mobilization)
  • Basics understanding and knowledge of CMAM (Supplementary Food Program)
  • Basics understanding and knowledge of CMAM (outpatient therapeutic Program)
  • Understanding of reports developing of the above CMAM components
  • Understanding and knowledge of Food commodity receiving, storage, distribution and its invoicing, way bills, and other documentation

Qualifications / Experience

Master's degree in social science preferable with nutrition subjects along with minimum 5 years of relevant and practical experience in project management.
