This nonprofit humanitarian organization is seeking an eligible and qualified individual for the position of Internee in Logistics Section.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

A logistics interns should be pursuing a logistics program. Prior exposure in the area may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are a key trait for this position.

The supply chain intern will learn every aspect of the inventory and distribution management, support services, information systems, strategic planning, and leadership. Tactical and strategic project and activities will be assigned and directed towards cost savings initiatives, product reviews and implementations as well as contracting.

  1. Updating the filing system of logistics.

 

  1. Filing the photocopies of approved Purchase Request, Purchase Order, and Travel authorization.

 

  1. Compiling weekly travel plan of all offices and share one consolidated travel plan of all offices.

 

  1. Checking office cleaning on daily basis.

 

  1. Keep record of kitchen and cleaning items.

 

  1. Keep record of incoming and outgoing mails.

 

  1. Keep up to date record of office inventory

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. EDUCATION:  BA or MA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management.

2. EXPERIENCE:  Fresh Graduates will be preferred.  

3. LANGUAGE:   Fluency in English, Urdu and Pashto.

4. KNOWLEDGE:  Basic knowledge of Warehousing / Logistics.

5. ABILITIES & SKILLS:

An eye for detail.
Great ability to think creatively.
Sales and negotiations competences will be preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to organize workload efficiently and to set deadlines.
Flexible and able to work under pressure.
High interest in working in an international, busy environment.
Good interaction and communication skills.

1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
