UNDP in partnership with Directorate of Projects (DOP) FATA is supporting Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Unit (RRU) technically and financially under the UNDP FATA Transition and Recovery Program.
CVs/Applications are invited from suitable candidates having domicile of FATA/ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the following short term positions on fixed pay, initially for the period of six months extendable subject to the performance and availability of funds. Female candidates are encouraged to apply. The position will be based in Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Unit (RRU) FATA.

Qualification/Experience:
- BE/BSC Civil Engineering.
- At least five years of experience with organizations working for infrastructure development.
- Ability to design, plan, estimate, and oversee civil engineering and infrastructure projects and manage local contractors.
- Understanding of socio-economics of FATA and local culture is critical.
- Ability to travel, field monitor and manage data collection from the target areas is required.
Job Description:
- Overall responsible for managing the agency level unit, and providing technical support to the unit staff.
- Coordination with the local administration and line departments.
- Surveys and assessment to support infrastructure development, and overseeing the same for effective execution.
- Supervision, monitoring of the tasks undertaken, and reporting.
- Conflict management, if so required.
- Provide technical guidance at field-level on strategic planning and standard operating procedures, negotiation, identification and resolution of issues, data collection and information management; monitoring and evaluation.
- Monitor and advise co-lead on the roll-out, of activities at the agency/ field level.
- Prepare periodic reports on progress and other related issues as required.
- Facilitate analytical assessments to identify technical assistance needs in the context of R&R strategy. This will involve identification of both programme specific as well as overarching policy and systems related Technical Assistance needs, and cross sectoral issues that influence service delivery and utilization.
