Overall purpose of the role:

Effective, efficient and timely plan and implement the designed protection intervention at field level that includes but not limited to community outreach, protection monitoring, awareness rising of the community, reporting and coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Disseminate project related information in an easily-understandable format to communities;
• Help ensure that protection activities are conducted within the international legal / human rights framework;
• Ensure the implementation of activities through pursuance of Age, Gender, Diversity Mainstreaming (‘AGDM’) approach;
• Plan, design and implement protection awareness-raising and capacity building activities for refugees and other stakeholders in consultation with the target audience;
• Keep up to date with legal developments in Pakistan relevant to the protection of refugees and IDPs, and advise Management;
• Ensure easy access to information to HH level through regular House-to-House visits;
• Collect complete data/information of the beneficiaries and maintain all the relevant records of identified and assisted beneficiaries;
• Ensure participation of representative community groups in the design, delivery and monitoring of project activities;
• Identification of protection issues and flags them for the attention of the supervisor;
• Co-operate and interact with partner organizations, relevant government departments and local authorities;
• Coordination with refugee elders, Govt. officials for smooth running of the projects;
• Work within an agreed work plan and ensure timely attention to priority tasks;
• Attend relevant meetings in cluster;
• Understand, organize and Manage events;
• Prepare documentation of all relevant activities (protection monitoring forms, field trip reports, minutes of meetings, work plans, budgets etc.) in accordance  with the organization’s guidelines and regulations; Propose corrective actions where necessary;
• Contribute to the development of new projects and the emergency prevention and protection based response strategies;
• Perform any other related duties as requested by the Supervisor;

Key Deliverables:

• Efficient and effective planning and implementation of designed protection activities;
• Keep coordination with stakeholders at field level for smooth implementation;
• Keep up organization norms and values while delivering results;
• Active inputs for further development of programme;

Education/qualifications:

• LLB, Master in Social Sciences and or minimum two - three years relevant field experience in refugees context
• A thorough knowledge of human rights law, international humanitarian law, and refugee law is essential.
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Good command on written and oral English language and report writing
• Proficient in using MS Office and other computer applications
• Frequently in Pushto is compulsory

Experience:

• The candidate must possess two -  three years relevant experience in social sector in refugees context preferably
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of refugee context;

Languages:

• Frequently in Pushto is compulsory;
• Proficiency in English speaking and Advance  writing skills;
