Qualifications/ Requirements:

·      Relevant academic background (e.g. Business Administration, Sociology, Development Studies, Social Work, Anthropology, Political Sciences, Economics)

·      8-10 years of continuous experience in management positions

·      Excellent management qualities (HR, Project Cycle Management, Administration and Finance)

·      High level of computer skills in MS Office incl. Excel

·      Professional work experience in International Development-/ NGO Sector

·      Experienced Line Manager

·      Knowledge and experience in disability inclusive development and public health sectors a strong asset

·      Knowledge and experience in Safety and Security Management a strong asset

·      Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

·      Proven knowledge of and experience in Project Cycle Management

·      Strong organisational, financial and project management skills

·      Good analytical and conceptual skills with demonstrated intercultural, gender and diversity competence

·      Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Pakistan (Middle East, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Europe)

Summarized tasks and assignments

·    Ensure close cooperation and coordination with partner organisations with regard to quality performance, accountability and timely implementation of projects (effective relationship management).

·     Ensure regular monitoring of projects in Pakistan against agreed objectives, indicators and standards

·     Manage international and national staff working in Pakistan in coordination with the Regional Office, in line with the principles of servant leadership and fostering a culture of inclusion

·     Act as a representative in meetings and networks with government, national and international organisations and/or donor agencies within the country

·     Ensure compliance with national laws and internal policies, processes and accountability and reporting standards

·     Ensure effective cooperation and communication with colleagues and stakeholders

·     Ensure professional financial implementation of Country Office-budgets and other funds directly implemented by the Country Office as well as regular monitoring against agreed objectives, indicators and standards

·     Assesses existing and potential new partner organizations and identifies capacity development needs in coordination and as agreed with Regional Office

·     Ensure professional situation analysis- and project planning processes in Pakistan in coordination with Regional Office

·     Ensures development of relevant annual and multi-annual plans and proposals in agreed formats.

·     Ensure effective management and support of Pakistan visits of international colleagues and other visitors including professional facilitation and organization of events in Pakistan

·     Ensure professional Safety and Security Management in Pakistan

 

·     Support and explore opportunities for resource mobilization nationally and internationally in coordination with international colleagues
