Overview

The Grants Officer will oversee the grant implementation process in the regional office. This position will report to the Grants Manager in the office.

 

Scope of Work

  • Serve as point of contact for grantees, monitor their progress against timelines, provide technical oversight on implementation and ensure adherence to grant agreements and all organization and donor protocols, policies and regulations.
  • Responsible for drafting reports and presenting it to the upper management and uploading it on relevant forms.
  • Conduct organizational Capacity-Pre-Award-Assessments of Potential Partners.
  • Analyze grant budget estimates for allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and consistency.
  • Work with grantees to ensure that activities are implemented in accordance with activity design and further to give inputs to grantee and team to solve issues that arise during grant implementation.
  • Ensure compliance throughout activity implementation; responsible for completion of agreement letters, clearance forms, amendments, and other compliance related documentation, as required.
  • Work closely with APT to finalize grant proposals and utilizing grants budgets efficiently under contracting mechanism.
  • Coordinate with Reporting Officer to update information in program reports and other written materials, including weekly, monthly/milestones, and quarterly reports.
  • Review and coordinate with Communication Department for the “Non-Partisan” and “Do No Harm” Review process of all the contents and materials received under grants.
  • Support the Grant Manager in working closely with Implementing Partner/Awardee to ensure that information is communicated to partners in a timely manner and required reports are completed and distributed on schedule.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Grants Assistants, assign tasks as per requirements and ensure all the grants related records are documented properly in hard binders.
  • Review milestone deliverables and submit payment requests upon complete milestone deliverables
  • Conduct field visits and manage implementation of grant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 Qualifications

• University degree in relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum ofthree (3) years of experience in related role required.

• Relevant experience working on USAID contract in a related role highly preferred. Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs required.

• Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

• English language fluency required. Punjabi language highly preferred.
