ELIGIBILITY:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, marketing, business, new media or related discipline from a reputable international or Pakistani institution (Master's degree preferable)
  • 3 years of solid experience in the field of communications and external relations, with proven experience in managing social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn), website management, web-based tools for email marketing, social media, community management and social insights reporting
  • Familiarity with email marketing and social media tools (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, etc)
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with content management systems and site platforms
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Experience in digital marketing and understanding of search engine optimization
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, editing and presentation skills
  • Excellent networking and PR skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Passionate and self-driven with the ability to handle assignments with minimal supervision

  • Excellent ability to analyse and synthesize information/report findings and present it using appropriate frameworks (infographics, insights, newsflashes, etc)
  • Experience of working with corporate entities and/or international donor agencies will be an added advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide support to the Knowledge Management & Communications (KM&C) team in developing and executing strategies for Karandaaz Pakistan that are linked to its brand voice and knowledge goals and expand its outreach efforts
  • Play an active part in all aspects of communications and branding for Karandaaz Pakistan, including core communications areas, such as publications and products, company website, email marketing, press releases, social media, newsletters, media relations, editorial services, creative services etc.
  • Take a lead role in developing and managing the company’s presence on and effective use of Social Media for Karandaaz Pakistan’s target audiences including policymakers, regulators, industry professionals, donors, entrepreneurs, women and youth
  • Actively develop short and long term plans to grow social media following in accordance with Social Media Strategy
  • Manage development of Facebook posts, tweets, visuals (infographics, charts, etc) and other web-based content, present key findings, analysis, insights and implications of Karandaaz’s portfolio
  • Manage/oversee development of website content including sitemaps, landing pages, support pages, etc
  • Actively recruit and manage effective relationships with a wide and diverse range of high profile contributors as well as international and national organizations working in the same industry to bring the best voices to a national and international audience
  • Create reports and forecasts by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and make recommendations and tactics for revising the strategies
  • Research ideas for and contribute in organizing company events including international conferences, industry and media engagement events.
  • Remain abreast with global research relevant to Karandaaz Pakistan’s development agenda
  • Establish moderation policies for each platform and moderate user-generated content
  • Coordinate with internal departments and closely follow Karandaaz policies for commissioning work with vendors
