Position Summary

The Nutrition supervisor will be responsible for overall management and implementation of the CMAM project strictly adhering with the protocols and guide lines of the donor organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • The health and nutrition supervisor under the direct supervision of CMAM Project coordinator is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the activities of the nutrition service packages according to the standards of the WFP/UNICEF.
  • S/he will be responsible for guiding and regular monitoring of the overall activities of the CMAM team, controlling and managing supplies for the CMAM sites and field activities.
  • Providing technical support for the CMAM team, facilitating referral service for sever acute malnutrition disease classifications.
  • S/he will play a major role in managing, organizing the team at the CMAM sites and in the field operations.
  • In addition, s/he will take the lead in organizing the weekly bi weekly and monthly report for the implementation of CMAM to the line manager and share best practices observed in the implementation.
  • He/ she will be responsible for the preparation of the success stories in accordance with the standard protocol.
  • S/he will be responsible for initial drop of biweekly & monthly narrative reports and daily field visit reports.
  • S/he will compile the figurative data on weekly, biweekly and monthly basis from field and health facility staff.
  • S/he will be responsible for collection of good quality pictures both from field and health facilities.
  • S/he will be responsible for proper record keeping and compilation of all activities.
  • He /She will be responsible to conduct training on IYCF, CMAM and social mobilization.
  • In addition to other responsibilities, the incumbent will be responsible to participate in review meetings of the CMAM program in the district and any other duties assigned by project coordinator.

Qualifications / Experience

Master's degree in Nutrition/ Social services in MPH with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
