Position Summary

The “Community Nutrition Worker” will be responsible for community screening for active case identification under the CMAM program for targeted community i-e, children (6-59 months of age), pregnant women and lactating mothers and Infant & young child feeding promotion.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Nutritional Screening of all the children (6-59 months) and Pregnant women and lactating mothers at the health facility and in the catchment area
  • Screening in community and referral malnourished children and PLW to health facility.
  • Carry out outreach activities.
  • Facilitate NA in admission of eligible children and PLWs in SFP Program
  • Assist Nutrition Assistant to maintain and update the record of the admitted children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
  • Facilitate to Nutrition Assistant to arrange, organize and conduct health, IYCF, hygiene and nutrition education sessions at the health facility and community level.
  • Assist Nutrition Assistant to maintain and report the SFP /OTP supplies record properly at the respective health facility
  • Formation of nutrition support committees and conduct meetings with committee members.
  • Systematic reporting of community nutrition screening, health & nutrition education sessions.
  • Will conduct community awareness sessions on CMAM and Health Hygiene in the assigned area of the project.
  • Systematic reporting of community nutrition screening, Health and nutrition education sessions.
  • Any other task assigned by line supervisor.

 F.A with at least 1 years of relevant experience.
