The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is a private, non-denominational, international development agency established in 1967. It seeks sustainable solutions to long-term problems of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and ill-health with special emphasis on the needs of rural communities in mountainous and other resource poor regions, primarily in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Its main areas of focus are education, health, rural development, environment and strengthening civil society.

The Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan) [AKF(P)] is seeking high caliber professional for the following position to be based in Islamabad:

1.      Receptionist  

The incumbent will report to Assistant Manager, Administration. Receptionist will provide support to Administration Department at AKF(P) and will play a key role with the execution of administrative work of the unit. She/he will also serve as a lead person to supervise the support staff of AKF(P). His/her main duties & responsibilities will be as follows:

Main responsibilities:

  • To act as a lead person and providing overall supervision to support staff; that also includes supervising drivers and maintain their overtime records.
  • Petty Cash maintenance and verification of monthly bills.
  • Oversee in-country and international travel, securing flight reservations as well as hotel reservations, and also make appropriate arrangements for getting Visa for the staff travelling abroad.
  • Provide support to administer procurement of various office equipment’s, and supplies of different items with market survey and price comparison
  • Assist in maintenance of Building as well as equipment’s (furniture & fixture) and timely repair when required
  • Assist in lunch arrangements for various in-house meetings; also assist in the arrangements of High Profile and National Committee meetings
  • Assist in developing and maintaining working relationships with various partners, other AKF offices - on administrative and logistics tasks.
  • Ensure all land based communication system is working efficiently.
  • Assist in managing day to day routine administrative task as directed and required.
  • Responsible for handling the incoming/outgoing calls and mails.
  • Responsible for ensuring the security clearance for the visitors.

Required Qualifications

The incumbent should preferably have Bachelor’s Degree having at least 1- 2 years of relevant experience in similar capacity. Candidates with good written & spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills & knowledge of MS Office, flexibility to travel and ability to work in a diversified team environment are encouraged to apply.
