An international organization is seeking for an experienced Head of Finance and Administration for its Peshawar office, to lead and develop our country programme in the area of Finance, administration, human resource management, logistics and procurement. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all programs in the country operate in accordance with organizational operational standards and guidelines and are in line with the in-house Accountability and Quality Management system. This includes hands-on related tasks to finance, budgeting, controlling, book-keeping, as well as asset management and HR.
  • Taking lead in reviewing and implementing global and regional organizational, financial, accountability and internal control initiatives.
  • Ensuring the existence and maintenance of an accurate and timely management Information systems such as overall planning, budget and control of expenditures for shared operational costs, as well as coordination of budgeting and expenditure related to programme implementation.
  • Supervision, audits and controlling of corrective actions related to organizational standards for operations and oversee the establishment of logistics/ procurement procedures.
  • Training and training needs assessments as part of improving compliance with organizational standards.
  • Ensure that all administrative and legal-related systems are accurate and maintained and support the deployment of staff members.
  • To ensure human resource development and management initiatives in order to develop organizational and staff capacity to achieve overall program objectives.

Internal relations

  • The position holder will report to the Country Director and be part of the senior management team, who will oversee and support the finance, administration, human resources and logistics & procurement department for the entire country operation and the field offices.
  • To ensure timely and appropriate communication and support with Heads of Offices and relevant program staff concerning all issues related to finance, administration, human resources, logistics and procurement by proactively resolving differences and prioritize time-sensitive issues.
  • To receive technical support from the Regional Head of Finance and Administration and the Regional HR Manager, as well as the Finance Department and the Operations and Policy Support Unit at head quarter level

External relations

  • To support the Country Director and the Senior Management Team liaising with donors and government officials, especially as relates to issues of compliance, registration, and audit.

 About you

To be successful in this role you must have

  • Advanced university degree or equivalent in Finance / Management / Human resource management from international or HEC recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience out of which at least 7 years in senior management position in financial/administrative management for an international NGO or in the international environment.
  • Proven experience in managing large / multiple budgets
  • Experience of working with key international donors and their reporting requirements
    • Experience of managing mid to large level international NGO country operations (over 100 employees)
    • Working knowledge of Pakistani legal system and stakeholder engagement/management.
    • Full proficiency in spoken and written English

    • Working experience with, DANIDA, UNHCR, ECHO, SDC and BPRM guidelines or other similar donors..
