Position: Education Expert
Duty Station: Swat/Peshawar/Islamabad
Duration: One Year
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Country Director, Education Expert will be responsible for the technical services required for overall management and coordination for implementation of project activities.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to PSLI staff for planning and implementation of activities
- Consult with DCTE to finalize teachers training program on effective utilization of library books
- Consult with education dept to ensure support as per agreement
- Prepare one day training program for school staff on library management
- Support PSLI team for planning project activities including distribution of library material, teachers training and follow-up visits
- Technical support for hiring, procurement and project management
- Monitor implementation of project activities and share feedback to PSLI team, Relief Pakistan and SGAFP
- Review monthly and quarterly project reports and share with SGAFP
- Coordinate with PSLI team, SGAFP, Relief Pakistan and KP Education Dept. for smooth implementation of project activities
- Technical support to the school staff for proper display of books, library period and library books circulation
- Provides on demand assistance to PSLI for library, reading and management activities
- Additional support required for project
Education and Experience: 16 years education with 8 years of experience in education development

Outcome orientated with an aptitude to work with multiple tasks and staff
Sociable, flexible and problem solver Prior experience of and an ability to work in rural education context is highly desirable Understanding of library & reading activities (Desirable) Monitoring & implementation of library & reading activities Ability to use online communication tools Excellent MS-office skills Good communication and report writing skills in English
