About the Organization

Pakistan Microfinance Network is the national level association of microfinance providers in the country. Its membership includes microfinance banks, microfinance institutions and NGOs. The Network works in three key areas for industry development a) acting as the knowledge hub for MF sector b) policy advocacy as sector representative at local and international level c) capacity building and institutional strengthening. Position Terms of Reference

The Manager Accounts & Audit will be reporting to the Manager Finance. The primary responsibilities of the Manager Accounts & Audit are described below:

1. Overseeing the procurement process and managing office procurements with the Administration
2. Prepare revenue, expense, payroll entries and other accounting documents using computerized accounting system
3. Preparing monthly payroll
4. Handling routine payments, bank matters and foreign exchange transactions and conversions
5. Petty cash and fixed assets management
6. Preparing monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements
7. Coordinating with the internal, external and project auditors and ensuring that the audits are carried out within the timelines
8. Ensuring compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures in day to day operations
9. Assisting Manager Finance in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements

Any other work that is deemed necessary by the Manager Finance from time-to-time.

Who Should Apply?

Education and Experience

• CA Finalist – with articles completed from Category A firm
• Plus points:
  • Experience in managing and handling accounting matters of an organization in a development sector for six months or more
  • Previous experience of book keeping in QuickBooks

Other Skills

• The applicant must have strong presentation and verbal skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• The applicant must also have a knowledge of recent developments & changes in the taxation and regulatory environment
