PURPOSE OF POSITION

The position shall be responsible to deliver specifically IT based education at 5 community based Gift Catalogue project centers. He/ she will be responsible for professional delivery of IT based life skill enhancement of learner and comprehensive orientation of Value Based learning Skill Teacher (VLSB) established under the project. He/she will responsible to provide necessary technical assistance to project coordinator during planning implementation of project and technical assistance to other relevant   stakeholders for Gift Catalogue Project.  Required areas of competency includes  for  delivering    computer literacy at centers, IT based research to find quality learning material and animations regarding child protection themes, Value Based Learning  Skills, Leadership skill and management skills material for  , general community , Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). He/ she required competency to be able to coordination with relevant officers (education and sports) for planning, execution, monitoring and   accountability, related to project activities.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for computer teaching at all centers
  • Deliver IT based model lesson on related theme at valuable Based center and provides feedback and regular report to the Project Coordinator.
  • Research to find innovative learning material online and to share/deliver it at centers
  • Responsible to organize community meetings and forming different committees and groups for project interventions with the guidelines  to education community through innovative IT based material
  • IT education officers liaise closely with VBLS Teachers and spend qualitative   time for developing positive working relationships with CCBO and Youth Interest Advisory Committees.
  • Develop IT based training material (design, supplies, list of community members) about different trainings under the project under supervision of project coordinator.
  • Responsible to able VBLS Center staff and learner for net suffering
  • To assist VBLS Teacher to identification and enrollment of girls in community learning centers and assist s to  regular meetings with parents to ensure 100% attendance at centers and child development at home


Encourage and influence the development of new learning opportunities through formal and informal classes as well as individual tutoring and mentoring at community level

  • Help out potential learners to overcome existing barriers for  effective learning for learner, work individually to create individual  learning plans
  • Assist in organizing  district level cultural events with active participation of all relevant stakeholders under supervision of Project Coordinator
  • Document and submit timely class learning and assessment reports to immediate supervisor according to  required reporting guidelines approved by WVP  and understand and incorporate child protection policy into all project activities
  • Any other assignment given by the supervisor or management

Minimum Education Requirements;

• Master Degree in Computer Sciences or PGD or studied computer  as a major subject  200 Marks at graduation level with 3-4 Years of experience of computer teaching or  in the Field of Education or  Gender mainstreaming related Projects.

• Training and liaising experience related to IT based teaching is desired

• Previous experience of working in NGO sector/ development sector will be prefered

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Excellent computer literacy skills Fluent in English Urdu and Saraiki, preferred knowledge of Punjabi is required  

• Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior management, internal and external stakeholders. 

• Familiar with geographical location, social, cultural, and tribal issues of native culture  

• Ability to work in a cross cultural environment with multinational staff, with emotional maturity and physical stamina.
