Job Description:

  • Collection of Secondary data of Identified UC/sectors in the district
  • Conduct base line surveys /KAP/Rapid assessment/ PSC in the target areas of the projects
  • Making contact with and organizing local communities in the most appropriate forms of organization (in the given situational context).
  • Social Mobilization (CO/VO and LSO Formation)
  • Conducting Situational Analysis through PRA, RRA and Poverty Score Card in the communities. 
  • Organizing Community Based Organizations (COs)/VOs & LSOs  and mobilizing the communities for carrying out the project activities; Building capacities of Community Organizations;
  • Involve local leaders (political, religious and traditional) to increase identification and participation of the population.
  • Training local leaders/community members and activists on Community Management Skill Trainings (CMST) and trainings under other projects implemented in the district.
  • To facilitate VOs in developing Village Development Plans through participatory approaches.
  • Linking COs/VOs/LSO with line departments and NGO/INGOs.
  • Appropriate record keeping in soft and hard at FU and community level for all conducted activities/sessions/meetings.
  • Facilitate the communities in identification, planning and implementation of Community Physical Infrastructure.
  • Based on learning from field visits, exchanging ideas and experiences with management and field staff for improvements.
  • Preparation of monthly/weekly/daily work plans
  • Daily Dairy Writing
  • Preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Progress sharing in weekly/Monthly Review meetings
  • Any other task assigned by the Chief Social Organizer/SPO SM/DPM/Deputy Manager SM
