Location: Lahore, Pakistan

We are seeking a highly-proactive, experienced professional development manager, with a proven track record of developing and running teacher training programmes (with particular reference to the Cambridge curricula), to establish and run our professional development team in Lahore, Pakistan.

Our international qualifications are recognised by the world’s best universities and employers, giving students a wide range of options in their education and career. As a not-for-profit organisation, we devote our resources to delivering high-quality educational programmes that can unlock learners’ potential.

We also work with ministries and other agencies on major education reform projects, designing and developing curriculum and assessment materials for particular needs and contexts while meeting international standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing country team, seeking to increase Cambridge’s presence and support for schools in Pakistan.

The role involves:
• Managing the professional development team within Pakistan, ensuring effective operation on a country and regional level.
• Nurturing and developing a pool of professional development practitioners in Pakistan and the surrounding region to facilitate workshops and events in-country.
• Nurturing and developing communities of practice across Cambridge teachers and schools in Pakistan.
• Developing a deep understanding of school needs in terms of continuing professional development, including the design and delivery of bespoke training where required.
• Ensuring the implementation of the Cambridge Quality Assurance Framework for professional development programmes in Pakistan
• Overseeing ongoing support for the Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (PDQs) in Pakistan, and monitoring the quality of programme implementation in the authorised centres.
• Planning and reviewing the annual country professional development schedule for teachers, schools and school leadership.

You will demonstrate strong cultural-sensitivity and will bring an awareness of teacher needs in the Pakistani context. As you will be working with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams, you will be a proven team player with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ and flexible attitude. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are essential. You are someone who can see the bigger picture but who also pays close attention to detail.

If you are interested in developing your career further in professional development, then we would like to hear from you. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a good range of benefits including a generous holiday allowance and further opportunities for training and development.
