General Functions

Under the overall supervision of the Program Manager and under the directions from Head of Technical Unit/Program Engineer & Senior Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Engineer will be under direct supervision of the Team leader. The Electrical Engineer’s will assist the field based teams in assessment, planning and implementation of Electrical & Solar components of Infrastructure Projects in the Program.

 Specific Duties and Responsibilities include

1.          Assisting the field technical staff in assessment, planning and implementation of Electrical & Solar components of Infrastructure projects.
2. Assist the field technical team in drawings, designing and estimation of Electrical & solar components of grants.
3. Reviewing the Technical Budgets, Design and estimates for Infrastructure Projects.
4. Participate in field monitoring of the Electrical & solar components of Infrastructure Projects on regular basis.
5. Assist Program Engineer in providing technical support to the field offices on regular basis.
6. Assist the logistics department in reviewing the bidding documents related to Electrical & Solar system grants.
7. Supervise projects in coordination with government or local technical personnel and in collaboration with the program technicians and provide regular reporting regarding the status of projects.
8. Assisting the Operations department in technical review of new grant Ideas related to Electrical & Solar Systems.
9. Assist and facilitate trainings and meetings for the capacity building of Technical Staff on Electrification, solar & pumping systems.
10. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4 Years of Experience in (assessment, Designing, Planning and  Monitoring of Electrification works, Solar & Pumping Systems, Engineering software skills)
• Experience in Electrical & Solar System design, costing, supervision and monitoring, Technical Reporting of Electrical and Solar Engineering Works.

Languages

•  Language Fluency in both oral and written communication in English, Pashto and Urdu.
