Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is a non-governmental, policy think tank which produces knowledge to enhance the capacity of government and private sector in making informed policy decisions and to engage civil society on issues of public interest.

SDPI is seeking a Team Leader/Data and Evidence Expert to lead a data sharing and dissemination project. The candidate should show experience in social sector research information systems and a keen interest in data management. Experience of managing development projects is preferred. The candidate should have a Masters’ degree (or higher) in education/social sciences with minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.

2.0    POSITION OBJECTIVES

 

The Team Leader is responsible for managing the entire Alif Ailaan Data Observatory project, including all technical as well as logistical aspects, and coordination with all support functions such as finance, admin, HR and IT.

 


3.0    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND TASKS

 

3.1    Core Responsibilities & Duties                        

 

  1. Recruit and manage the Alif Ailaan team

 

  1. Devise and maintain the direction of the teams work

 

  1. Devise and manage the project work plan, targets and deliverables.

 

  1. Supervise all work under the project

 

  1. Write and/or provide quality control for all programme deliverables

 

  1. Write and submit quarterly progress report

 

  1. Review programme compliance in coordination with Audit, HR and Finance units

 

 

  1. Plan and execute programme related advocacy initiatives

 

  1. Devise and execute data portal related networking activities with relevant stakeholders

 

  1. Report progress to data and evidence lead at Alif Ailaan on regular basis

 

 3.2    Occasional Significant Duties    

 

  1. Conduct periodic reviews of team performance
