DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY

 

 

  1. Acts as resource person for the Director Works/P&D on the functional matters related to the P&D i.e. strategic plan, annual plan, development & non development projects.
  2. Keep liaison with Director Works for the estimates of drawings, specification, designing new buildings, extensions or alterations to existing buildings, or advising on the restoration and conservation of old properties.
  1. Prepare short & long term plan and development programs to meet vision, goals and priorities set by the KPTEVTA management/ board.
  2. Prepare planning phase of the projects. Participate in the design, budget, and documentation phase by working closely with Directors to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is covered.
  3. Coordinate the foreign funding agencies/local and international NGOs, for getting projects from feasibility to approval of projects.
  1. Maintain minutes of the affairs of the KPTEVTA Development Committee and take continuous follow ups.
  2. Preparation of working paper/presentation for TEVTA Development Committee.
  3. Prepare and receive feasibility reports from HQ and field formation (institutes).
  4. Scrutiny of feasibility reports received from field formation and sending reply to concerned after approval of competent authority.

R&D Assignment:

  1. Prepare the implementation plan of a broad, coordinated set of activities (short & long term) and development programs to meet the vision, goals and priorities set by the KPTEVTA management/ board for the socio economic development of the Province and Country.
  2. Develop plan for conducting Training Need Analysis / Market Research for the sectors, industry and professions to meet training and employment demand.
  3. Conduct research to identify the best practices and change of technology in the existing trades and also identify new trades.
  4. Develop committee with Academics and Operations for the review and development of curricula based on market needs and demand. Proposed recommendations and take follow ups on implementation. 
  5.  Carry out feasibility studies and advise top management in starting new trades in specific territories of the KP Province.
  6. Plan and supervise TVET research and development activities. Constitute team of talented teachers and students to carry out research in various trades, provide resources and specific exposure.
  7. Conduct skill competitions to identify the talented pool for designing local products and provide resources and platform for engineering and reengineering of processes and products.
  8. Liaison with Principals and Institute Management Committees on matter relating to training need of each District.
  9. Coordination with Government and Non-Government Organizations on the interventions of R&D and seek their support for synergy.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

 

 Age

 

 

Up to 45 years

Education

Bachelor of Engineering/B-Tech or Master degree in Business Admin / Project Management or any other relevant degree from reputed HEC recognized University.

Experience

8 years’ of experience including at least 5 years of job specific experience. Preference shall be given to those who possess diversified exposure in national, international, public and private organizations.

Skills

Proven project management skills, Working skills of ICT, Interpersonal skills, Having sound knowledge of public sector projects planning, policies and regulations.
