Position: Gender Based Violence (GBV) Officer
Number of Positions: 01
Gender: Female
Location: Based at Peshawar
(Frequent travelling to project area of Peshawar, Swabi & Buner)
Requirements: -
- University degree in Psychology/ sociology or Law will be preferred.
- Minimum of five years professional experience in Gender Based Violence (GBV), similarly in different local regions will be preferred.
- Previous experience in specific field will be preferred.
- Must be Familiar with Training Techniques for Trainers. Previous as GBV Trainer will be an edge.
- Proven familiarity with and understanding of guidelines and best practices relating to GBV.
- Impressive Program report writing skills as well as analytical capabilities.
- Able to work in resource limited and harsh environment.
- Fluency in English & knowledge of regional languages of the duty station an asset.
- Must be aware of Cultural sensitivities.
- Computer proficiency is a Must.
Responsibilities:
- Use an interagency approach in training on GBV issues and response system.
- Provide training and technical support for Community Health Workers, counselors and CBOs.
- Use participatory methods in all training activities.
- Facilitate training for camp-based health staff, helping groups in camp and partners organizations in/out camp.
- Build partnerships with key organizations and individuals in the camps.
- Assist GBV team in the development and testing of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials on GBV and violence prevention for the camp communities.
- Use evaluations and pre- and post- tests to monitor training effectiveness.
- Write training summary, activity and meeting reports.
- Conduct exit interviews, KAP surveys. Conduct regular needs assessments with the GBV team and the community to inform GBV training priorities and work plan.
- Develop GBV IEC awareness materials
- Identify and report success stories.
- Document best practices and lessons learned.
